this is a sketch inspired from the song 'unfurl' by 'Katatonia' ,one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

कभी झाँक के देखो दिल में मेरे 

दबा पड़ा है भावनाओं का समंदर 

और कुछ टूटे-फूटे खाली पड़े 

वीरानों के खँडहर 

कर दो इन वीरानों को आबाद
बस दे दो अपनी एक छोटी सी मुस्कान
पी लो हमारे आंसुओं को
और समां लो अपने अन्दर 

जली हुई उम्मीदों और
सूने पड़े झरोखों के अलावा 

एक आवाज़ भी है इस सन्नाटे में
तुम्हे ही पुकारती है खामखा
बड़ी बेकरारी है बर्बादी में
बहती हुई नदी के किनारे कहाँ होते हैं
होता है बस एक बहाव दिल्लगी में 

अंतहीन सीढ़ियों के ऊपर है मंजिल
चलते-चलते उम्र न बीत जाए
कभी अपने दिल से न पूछना
कहीं सच न उगल जाए 

और न ही ढूंढना अपने दिल के तहखाने में
बंद तालों में जो पंछी है
कहीं वो ना उड़ जाए

एक कश्ती कहीं डूब रही है 

पर मांझी को कोई फ़िक्र नहीं 

एक कटी पतंग कही उडी जा रही है 

उसकी डोर का कोई पता नहीं 

काली आंधी आसमान में छाई है 

पर पंछियों को परवाह नहीं 

कभी तो सूरज उगेगा 

येही सोच के उड़ गए हैं 

मंजिल का पता नहीं 

राह मुश्किल है 

पर परवाज़ का कोई अंत नहीं

तूफ़ान पूरे आगोश में है 

पर लौ को कोई परवाह नहीं 

मस्ती में झूम रही है, इठला रही है  
बुझने से डर नहीं रही है 

बल्कि डटकर मुकाबला कर रही है

आबो-हवा में अजीब सी खामोशी है 

पर साज़ को कोई परवाह नहीं 

अपनी ही धुन में रमा है 

कभी तो ये सन्नाटा मिटेगा 

इसी सोच में मलंग है 

कहीं तो होगा अश्कों का दरिया 

डूब जायेंगे जिसमें सब गम 

कल फिर दुःख आएँगे या 

यहीं पे जाएंगे थम 

मस्ताने से मौसम में 

ज़िन्दगी की परवाह नहीं 

आज है कल होगी की नहीं 

न जाने कहा जा रहे हैं 

किसी ने आवाज़ तक ना दी
